addendum to the blob post

this doesn't help much either. the coworker just dropped this off.

i....can't....resist....

i am now here by sentenced to a pregnancy of blob-dome... it's all over.

baby bump or baby blob?

So, this baby is the size of an orange but this baby bump thing is way bigger than and orange and migrating to my sides and into places on my body I wasn't aware it would go yet. Maybe (hopefully) a little light exercise will help me out. I feel more like I have a baby blob instead of a baby bump. oh well, here's to a healthy baby right?!

Baby's now the size of a naval orange!
Continuing the march toward normal proportions, baby's legs now out-measure his arms. And, finally, all four limbs have functional joints. Your fetus is squirming and wiggling like crazy down in the womb, though you probably can't feel the movements just yet.

Week 14

Baby's now the size of a lemon!
Your adorable little fetus is busy with thumb sucking, toe wiggling, (not so cute but equally amazing) making urine, and breathing amniotic fluid as the liver, kidneys, and spleen continue to develop. Lanugo (thin, downy hair) is growing all over her body for warmth.

Daytime Darling Dress

This spring-like weather we are having makes me want to shop for new clothes!
Wondering if my belly would fit in this for a while? Isn't it cute? You can find it over at modcloth!

a peach!! mmmm...peaches!

Other than being hungry all the time and everything sounding more delicious than ever, here is what's going on this week...

Baby's now the size of a peach!
Your fetus is forming teeth and vocal cords...savor this, their nonfunctional phase. Baby is approaching normal proportions, with his head now only one third the size of his body. And intestines are in the process of moving from the umbilical cord to baby's tummy -- much more convenient.

In 6 weeks we have gone from a pea to a plum!

Baby's now the size of a plum!
As you move into the second trimester, baby shifts into the growth and maturation stage. After weeks in the critical development stage, almost all of her systems are fully formed.

It's been how long?

I can't believe it has been September since I posted anything on here. I don't know what happened to me :) ... well at least for the first few months. The last few months I have been distracted by nausea and exhaustion. In case you don't know, Travis and I are expecting a baby in August. We are excited and nervous all at once. I have been sick since November and last week I woke up and felt like the fog had been lifted! I am SO grateful for that. So that's what has been going on in our world lately. We had a lot of fun telling our family and friends and if I can tell you one thing...this baby is going to be loved! We have such great friends and family around us. I can't wait to share this experience with all of them! I am about to post how far along I am and how big the baby is so check that out too!
