hello....? is anyone still there??
sorry my middle name is blog-slacker. please forgive me.
i was so busy planning my first vbs that the after shock has just left me busy trying to get back in the routine of the "everyday". it turned out really great but i totally fell off the blog wagon in the meantime. i thought summer was supposed to slow things down. im picturing lemonade, rocking chairs, and cicadas singing in the trees.... instead reality breaks in and its a hello!goodbye! whirlwind as travis comes home and i am back out the door to cross another activity off the calendar. i really don't know how to not be busy but i feel busier when my activities are without travis. we are planning a vacation in august, so here's hoping to being forced to slow down!
summer so far has been filled with some sweet kindergarten graduations of some of my favorites from the preschool i used to teach at. if you don't know already, this baby is my "shuga" i don't see her as much as i should but she always has a really special place in my heart
i have however been spending a lot of time with this guy. he spent 8 days with us the week of vbs and still cried when we took him home. and he just went home from a 5 day fourth of july weekend. this is him riding to the river with us for a father's day at the cabin. paisley is also enjoying the ride. the truck puts her to sleep like a baby!
we celebrated paisley's birthday (by celebrated i mean we said "hey, today is paisley's birthday"). we haven't quite had her for a year yet but she turned one in june. here she is after she found something i bought for her. she couldn't wait for me to open the package so she had fun with the entire bag!
here is a picture of me and travis from the fireworks last weekend. we are really excited because this afternoon we have a contractor friend coming over to talk about plans for an addition to the house. im really hoping it will be within the price range. we are wanting to add a family room and a master bed and bath.... fingers crossed!
i hope your summer has been great so far and that you are sitting on your porch, drinking lemonade in a rocking chair, listening to the cicadas sing. :)
